Board Meeting Procedures and Information
Regular meetings of the Board of Trustees are scheduled at 5:30 p.m., typically twice a month in the Multi-Purpose Room (please see Meeting Calendar & posted Agendas for details). The Board's practice is to begin the Regular Session at 5:30 p.m. and convene to Closed Session afterward. The public is invited to attend the Board Meetings outside of Closed Session.
Members of the public who wish to address the Board of Trustees during Matters From The Public or to address an agenda item are asked to complete a speaker card and submit it to the recorder of the Board Meeting before the meeting starts or at the beginning of an agenda item. Should a member of the public wish to speak to the Board of Trustees regarding an item on the Closed Session agenda, he/she may do so immediately before the Closed Session begins. Members of the public are invited to speak to the Board of Trustees regarding agenda items during a non-Closed Session when that agenda item is addressed.
The Board allows up to three (3) minutes per speaker per agenda item, and a maximum of fifteen (15) minutes per agenda item. To ensure that all speakers are provided an equal opportunity to address the Board, individual speakers may not yield their allotted time to address the Board to other speakers. The Board may limit the total amount of time allocated for comment on an agenda item (Government Code 54954.3[b]).
In compliance with Government Code 54954.2, no action or discussion shall be undertaken on any item not appearing on the posted agenda. The Board or its staff may briefly respond to statements made or questions posed by the public or ask a question for clarification. The Board may also provide a reference to staff or other resources for factual information, request staff to report back to the body at a subsequent meeting concerning any matter, or take action to direct staff to place a matter of business on a future agenda.

Agendas for Board Meetings are posted outside the District Office and School Office located at 921 Fox Lane and on the district website. Agendas will be posted 72 hours prior to a Regular Board Meeting and 24 hours prior to a Special Board Meeting. Please check the website for the current date, time, and location of Board Meetings.
